Eltham Presbyterian Camp was set up in 1963 to host an Easter Camp for young people across the Taranaki region. The heart and vision of this place is to see young people encounter experiences that are life changing, encouraging and memorable.
"The camp provides a range of accommodation options which enabled our group of 5 families and 4 couples to find a suitable and comfortable space to sleep. Even though the weather was very wet, the dining room and hall provided good undercover areas for our group of mixed ages to participate in a range of activities. We found the kitchen to be well equipped with everything we needed to cater for our crowd. The range of accommodation options and the flexibility of the spaces was perfect for us. The camp manager was helpful and attended to our questions and requests promptly. We will definitely come again." - Family Camp
"It is a really nice camp with excellent facilities and its location made it ideal for our purpose. Rates for NZ Motor & Caravan Assn members were excellent and we would have no hesitation in recommending this camp to our fellow NZMAC members / other campers. Steve and Abbey were first rate hosts and helped make our stay even more enjoyable. Lake Rotokare is just 12 kms away and it is well worth a visit or even staying a night or two in the DOC Camp – a simply beautiful location – do the walk around the lake – stunning."
