Located in Central Taranaki within easy distance of many local attractions - Lake Rotokare, Egmont National Park, Dawson Falls, Pioneer Village, and Tawhiti Museum to name a few! And only 52kms from New Plymouth! Right on the edge of Eltham township, the three hectare property is ideal for outdoor activities, including tenting, swimming, canoeing, barbecues and many other outdoor sports. The Eltham Campsite is ideal for school and youth groups,church groups, scouts and girl guides,and kindred organisations that run camps as part of their activities.
The Campsite features:
* Comfortable, affordable accommodation for 65 people
* Two separate blocks of bunkrooms for girls and boys
* Fully self-contained cottage - ideal for Leaders
* New 4 room (12 beds) Lodge with own shower,toilet & kitchenette
* Large modern kitchen
* New dining area, large Hall and separate lounge
* Confidence Course
* Canoes, tents, and archery equipment for hire (conditions apply)
* Challenging outdoor education available (by prior arrangement) with Taranaki Outdoor Adventures
Camp fees only $12.00 per person per night.(from October 2011) Minimum fees per group applies ,Christian Camps $10 per night per person, Corporate groups $15. per night per person
Day Visitors $6.00 per person
TET cottage if hired separately $70 per night ( self contained)
A bond of $200 for Overnight usuage
Hall hire and kitchen $100 per day
Canoes $60 if used on the site ( Trailor available for canoe transport extra $20)
Note The above fees are subject to change. There will be some increases for bednight fees during 2012
